Idée Appoints Arlen Bartsch as Director, Business Development

Toronto, Canada – March 1, 2005 – Idée Inc, the leader in visual search software, today announced the appointment of Arlen Bartsch to the role of Director, Business Development. Bartsch will drive Idée’s international business development, strategic channels and industry alliance initiatives.

With over 16 years of graphic software and digital content sales experience, Arlen Bartsch comes to Idée from Hemera Technologies, where he was Executive Vice President in charge of Business Development. In that role, Bartsch managed the image licensing division. Bartsch previously worked at Getty Images as Vice President, Business Development after Getty Images purchased his e–commerce company, i/us Corporation. As i/us corporation co–founder and President, Bartsch built the firm into an award–winning internet retailer selling graphic software and image subscriptions. Earlier in his career, Bartsch also held key positions at Corel Corporation including Executive Director, Sales and managed public relations, channel marketing, and worldwide sales.
