Espion™ wins Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) Innovation and Leadership Award for Outstanding Product Achievement

Ottawa, Canada – April 25th, 2002 – John Reid, President of the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance), announced the 2002 winners of the CATAAlliance Innovation and Leadership Awards before an audience of 350 high tech leaders at the Smart City Summit. These awards recognize significant contributions within the Canadian technology sector towards the advancement of science and technology in the country. "We're thrilled to be honored by the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) and to receive the prestigious Outstanding Product Achievement award," said Leila Boujnane, CEO and Founder of Idée Inc. The CATAAlliance 17th Annual Innovation & Leadership Awards were presented at the Smart City Summit and Trade Show in Ottawa to an audience of government, business and community leaders.

The award for Outstanding Product Achievement is presented to a Canadian organization for an outstanding technology engineering development which has resulted in the production of a world–class product or family of products. The winning product must have proven itself in operation and its design and its market success will have enhanced Canada's international reputation for innovations and excellence.
