The Need

With a rapidly growing image collection, Wonderfile needed to enhance its keyword search functionality to allow its customers to search using a combination of keywords and images. Creative customers and designers are used to working with images and using images to convey ideas and emotions. Describing emotions, colours and other features is difficult to accomplish using keywords alone as keywords are very poor image descriptors. With traditional keyword searching, finding visually similar images is very challenging.
