The Need
With over two million images spanning multiple image collections, Fotofinder wanted to give its clients the ability to refine their searches by using more than keywords. Now, Fotofinder clients can start with a keyword search, and then choose an image from those results to find images that share similar visual attributes such as colour, shape, texture and layout. They also have the option of removing the keyword and performing a pure visual search, which generates a set of results based on visual similarity alone, regardless of subject matter.
