IDC Picks Idée as Top 10 Software Company

IDC has released a new study that profiles ten relatively small, emerging software companies in Canada that it deems particularly worthy of note. These companies have overcome internal challenges, and have successfully contended with the ever-changing ICT industry, evolving regulations and standards, and large competitors with even larger marketing budgets.

Canadian e–Content Best Innovative Application

Idée Inc is proud to announce that Espion Visual Search has won the Canadian e–Content Award in the Best Innovative Application Category.

Rotman Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award

Leila Boujnane, CEO of Idée Inc., nominated for the Rotman Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Since 1992, the award program has paid tribute to Canada’s most successful female entrepreneurs for their important contributions to the economy.

CATAAlliance Innovation and Leadership Award

Idée wins the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATAAlliance) Innovation and Leadership Award for Outstanding Product Achievement. The CATAAlliance Innovation & Leadership Awards are the most prestigious annual awards conferred on individuals and corporations by Canada’s advanced technology community. They are presented in recognition of exceptional contributions made to the creation of science and technology-based industrial strength in Canada.

CATAAlliance awarded Idée’s visual search application Espion an Outstanding Product Achievement award at the CATAAlliance 17th Annual Innovation and Leadership Awards Reception at the Smart City in Ottawa April 23, 2002.

Prix Phénix 2001 - Affaires 2001

A joint initiative of the Forum Ontario-Francophonie Mondiale (FOFM) and the Chambre éonomique de l’Ontario (CEO), The Phénix Awards are an annual entrepreneurial awards program, presented to small and medium-sized business leaders who distinguished themselves through their innovative spirit, their highly competitive products and services and their efficient business management practices. Leila Boujnane CEO and Founder of Idée was awarded the Prix Phénix 2001 award at the Gala du Phénix, held on October 24th in the National Capital Region.

Idée and Canto received one of the high-profile picks for the integration of Idée’s Espion Visual Search with Canto’s Cumulus 5 media asset management application.

Nomination for Volunteer of the Year The Canadian New Media Awards are presented in partnership with Department of Canadian Heritage, Telefilm Canada, and MultiMediator. The awards recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of individuals and companies in the Canadian new media industry.

Leila Boujnane, CEO and Founder of Idée was selected as one of 5 finalists to be named in the "Volunteer of the Year" category of the 2001 Canadian New Media Awards. This nomination recognized her contributions to wildlife conservation, youth mentoring and environmental community ventures. The Volunteer of the Year is awarded to the individual who has made a material contribution to the growth and/or reputation of the Canadian new media industry through their volunteer work.
